Astra Software developed Emergency Plus™ to meet the needs of fire departments with Service Awards programs. The system also incorporates a dispatching system for those departments which do their own dispatching. The Astra system runs on an AS400, and is not Windows based. Astra has recently relocated from the NY area to Cornelius, NC.
Alpine has converted a large number of departments from the Astra System. Alpine has in place routines which transfer data from the Emergency Plus™ AS400 data format to the RedAlert dbf file format. These conversions can be done right up until the very last minute; your department will experience no down time in the transition between systems.
