Apparatus Management

The Apparatus Management Module tracks apparatus records, service and inspections history, vehicle inventory, and truck usage. It links with many of the other system modules:

Features

  • General Inventory, SCBA, and Hose modules. You can maintain inventory on the truck by compartment. The Bar-Coding module makes the process of taking apparatus inventory simple.
  • Personal Management Module. Track which individuals in the department are qualified for each piece of apparatus; query the number of hours each personnel drove apparatus for both incidents and non-incident situations.
  • Computer Aided Dispatching. Query apparatus log history.
  • Incident Reporting. Apparatus usage logs are generated simultaneously as you fill out the incident report.

The module also keeps track of fuel usage logs. Alpine is currently working to integrate the RedAlert™ system with a card key system which will update the fuel usage logs electronically from the pump.

Service, Maintenance and Inspections

The Apparatus Management Module makes the mechanic's job of keeping track of truck service and maintenance easy. Basically you schedule service intervals for all tasks/service that will be performed on the apparatus. These intervals can be based on the following parameters:

  • Hours between servicing
  • Days between servicing
  • Miles between servicing

As you perform service on the vehicle, the log is updated and reports can be run to determine which service is pending based on these parameters and the last time the task was performed. You can generate "To Do" reports for specified time periods. For example, you can generate a report which will list out all service required on specific vehichle for the month. You can also generate these reports for all apparatus.
