Bar Code Attendance System

One of the most demanding tasks found in a volunteer fire department is attendance tracking for fire incidents, EMS calls, and non incident events. The RedAlert System includes several different methods for taking attendance. Some are simple data entry screens while other techniques utilize serial connected peripherals and other hardware. Some examples include:

  • Check box with bar code scanner.
  • Task oriented truck entry.
  • Toggle browse method.
  • Direct entry.
  • Keyless security door system.
  • Biometric hand key reader link.
  • Scantron bubble sheets.
  • Paid Schedule Shift Transfer
  • From based attendance fields with direct carry over.

Check Box with Bar Code Scanner

This is one of the most popular methods for taking attendance. The following screen allows the user to simply point and click to give credit for a call. The system also supports bar codes and a keyboard bar code reader for simply scanning and taking attendance.

Incident Attendance Form

This method also supports the Service Awards (LOSAP) toggle, variable points, length of attendance, tasks and which apparatus the member drove. This form can also be filtered to include only the company or fire station the operator belongs to.
