The RedAlert System utilizes many hardware devices that interface directly with the program to help track attendance, display information, collect data, and utilize existing 911 systems.
| Tablet PC Systems | |
|---|
Access the RedAlert System on the road or at the scene with mobile, tablet-based pc computing. Microsoft has released the new Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, which sucessfully integrates a host of useful utilities as well as built-in wireless communications. Tablet PC manufacturers, like Xplore Technologies, make rugged computing systems that withstand the wear and tear of department use. |
Caller ID | System Design |
|---|
With the Caller ID interface, departments can identify any calls received at the station. The ID works in the same fashion the caller ID boxes that can be purchased from the phone company do, with one critical difference. After the call comes in, with the click of the mouse the department operator can generate an incident report with all the data of the call automatically carried over to the appropriate fields in the report. If you have dispatching responsibilities, with a second click you can cross reference any pre-plan information and dispatch the appropriate apparatus for the call. |
Nondestructive 911 Interface | System Design |
|---|
This device allows for the "splicing" of the 911 call as it comes into a department from a 911 center. This allows for the sharing of data from the call that can then be used by the RedAlert system. It is refered to as Nondestructive because the original signal continues to its original destination without any changes. |
911 Interface | System Design |
|---|
All 911 calls that come into the department go directly into the RedAlert system. Your department can specifiy how the information is ued, but generally the information is cross referenced with property/Pre-plan data and dispatching then occurs. Each situation is unique, the data from the call can be used various ways. Alpine Software has a variety of options to accomodate most needs. |
Biometric Hand Key | System Design |
|---|
The ultimate Identity Verifier replaces the need for key cards, ID badges, checklists, and any currently used attendance tracking device. The Biometric hand reader reads the three dimensional hand geometry to identify a person in about one second. The electronic signal is then transferred the RedAlert System where the time and individual are entered. It can be used in a variety of applications but generally departments are using it to track who is getting credit for a call. |
Truck Bay Monitors | |
|---|
Why not display call information where you need it most? With these remote monitors, critical information can be displayed as you are leaving for a call. During non-call time, regular notification about upcoming meetings or events can be displayed around the department to allow for better communication. The display messages can be changed or updated anytime by an authorized RedAlert user. |
Flatbed Scanner | System Design |
|---|
The RedAlert System can link directly with HP and other popular scanners. You can scan images, photographs, maps, and other preplan information on the fly. This information can then be directly linked with a preplan record. Other uses of the image scanner: - Scan photograph of person and attach it to their record.
- Scan training certificates for individuals and attach them to their personnel record.
- Scan property preplan records and attach them to the individual properties.
- Arson Investigation - Scan images of fire arson investigations and attach them to the incident.

Inventory Bar Code Reader | System Design |
|---|
The RedAlert System links the bar code reader information directly to the Inventory Module. This accomplishes several functions. - Scan all inventory on an apparatus or other defined location and produce an exception report stating which inventory is missing or in the wrong place.
- Scan a label to determine the appropriate location for the piece of inventory.
- Allows Departments to create their own inventory management strategy.
|
Digital Cameras | System Design |
|---|
The RedAlert System can utilize digitized photographs from all popular digital cameras. You can take photographs of your personnel and attach them to their personnel computer file. The RedAlert System can also generate accountability tags. The digital camera can also be useful for fire and arson inspectors. Inspectors can take photographs of any violations and attach these to the violation letter. Arson investigators may want to retain these photographs for liability and legal reasons. |
Keyboard Wedge Scanners | System Design |
|---|
Keyboard wedge scanners integrate with your computer keyboard. They are used to scan bar code labels and convert the scanned label into keyboard input. It is the same as entering the bar code with the keyboard. The scanner is used with the RedAlert Fund Drive Management Module to expedite the task of entering responses. Responses are printed with a bar code which identifies the donor. When you get donations, you simply scan the bar code and the system looks up the address for you. You then scan the appropraite donation from a list of common donation amounts. The process of logging the donation is quick and easy as scanning bar code labels. |
Multimedia Signs | |
|---|
Keep your personnel/staffing informed with a MultiMedia SignLine! These signs are integrated directly into the RedAlert System. They can be configured to display important dispatch information during active calls, but then revert to department bulletin information when the call has finished. |
